I've never posted a WIP before, but I'm having such a blast doing the lineart for this whole piece that it was worth sharing.
The top half is part of a very scribbly pencil sketch. I've seen some artists who sketch with these beautifully choreographed lines that hardly need ink to 'finish' them, and I am definately not one of those artists. If I can't draw it quickly, it's bound to turn out ugly.
The bottom half is digital inking progress in PS7. (I hate PSCS2.) I was using the Hard Round 3 Pixel brush. The SS above is only 25% of the actual working size, so 3 pixel is just right. Aren't the lines pretty?
The picture itself is of an academy-age Shunsui, from Bleach, and also includes a young Ukitake obviously not pictured. Doesn't he look frighteningly like Mugen, from Champloo?
Now that I've posted this, it's off I go for Otakon. Goodbye forever~
